This Privacy Policy describes how Philipp Baldauf ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information, including personal data, from users ("you" or "your") of our mobile applications ("Applications"). This policy applies to all our Applications, whether they are free, paid for with a one-time fee, or offered via auto-renewing subscriptions.

By downloading, installing, or using any of our Applications, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. The information we collect varies depending on which Application you use and how you interact with it. We may collect the following types of information:

  • 1.1. Information You Provide Directly:

    • Account Information: Some Applications require you to create an account. This may involve providing your name, email address, and a password.
    • Contact Information: If you contact us for support or other inquiries, we may collect your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide.
    • Newsletter Signup: If you sign up for our newsletter via MailerLite, we collect your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each newsletter. MailerLite's privacy policy applies to their handling of your email address (see MailerLite's Privacy Policy).
    • User Content: Some Applications may allow you to create or upload content, such as text, photos, or other data. This content is stored as specified in the individual application's description (see section 2. Data Storage).
  • 1.2. Information Collected Automatically:

    • Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including the device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information. Note that much of this information is collected in an anonymized or aggregated form.
    • Usage Information: We may collect information about how you use our Applications, such as the features you use, the actions you take, and the time and duration of your activities.
    • Apple Analytics: If you have consented to sharing analytics data with app developers through your Apple device settings, we may receive aggregated and anonymized data about your use of our Applications from Apple. You can manage your analytics sharing preferences in your device settings.
    • RevenueCat Data: If you purchase a subscription, RevenueCat receives anonymized data related to the purchase, including product ID, purchase date, price, and country. This data is used to manage your subscription and provide customer support. RevenueCat does not receive any personally identifiable information (PII) about you.     • Supabase Analytics: Some of our Applications use Supabase, which may collect aggregated usage data to improve the Applications. Supabase's privacy policy applies to their handling of this data (see Supabase's Privacy Policy).
    • Website Analytics: Our websites, hosted on Vercel, may collect standard website analytics data, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. Vercel's privacy policy applies to their handling of this data (see Vercel's Privacy Policy). We do not use this data to personally identify you.
  • 1.3 Information from Third Parties:

    • Apple: If you purchase an Application or subscription through the Apple App Store, we receive a receipt from Apple that confirms your purchase but does not contain any personally identifiable information.
    • Affiliate Links: If you click on an Amazon affiliate link within an Application, and make a purchase on Amazon, we may receive a commission. Amazon's privacy policy applies to their handling of your data (see Amazon's Privacy Policy).

2. Data Storage

The way we store your data depends on the specific Application:

  • No Data Storage: Some Applications do not store any user data.
  • Local Storage: Some Applications store data locally on your device. This data is only accessible by the Application and is not transmitted to us or any third parties unless explicitly stated in the Application's description.
  • iCloud Storage: Some Applications use iCloud to store data, allowing you to sync data across your Apple devices. Apple's privacy policy applies to their handling of data stored in iCloud (see Apple's Privacy Policy).
  • Supabase: Some Applications use Supabase to store data. Supabase provides database and backend services. You can find their privacy policy linked above.

The specific data storage method for each Application is detailed in the Application's description within the App Store.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes, in compliance with Austrian and EU data protection law (DSGVO):

  • Provide and Improve the Applications: We use your information to operate, maintain, and improve our Applications, including providing customer support, troubleshooting issues, and developing new features.
  • Personalize Your Experience: We may use your information to personalize your experience within the Applications, such as by remembering your preferences or displaying relevant content.
  • Communicate with You: We may use your information to send you important notices, such as updates to our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, or to respond to your inquiries.
  • Manage Subscriptions: If you purchase a subscription, we use RevenueCat to manage your subscription and ensure you have access to the subscribed features.
  • Analytics and Research: We use aggregated and anonymized data to analyze usage trends, improve the Applications, and conduct research.
  • Marketing: If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will use your email address to send you promotional materials related to our Applications. You can unsubscribe at any time. We do not use your personal data for targeted advertising within our applications.
  • Comply with Legal Obligations: We may use your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on the following legal bases for processing your personal data under the GDPR:

  • Performance of a Contract: We process your data to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, such as providing the Applications and managing your subscriptions.
  • Consent: We process your data based on your consent, such as when you sign up for our newsletter or agree to share analytics data with Apple.
  • Legitimate Interests: We process your data for our legitimate interests, such as improving our Applications, conducting research, and preventing fraud, provided that these interests are not overridden by your data protection rights.

    • Supabase: For data storage and backend services.
    • MailerLite: For newsletter distribution.
    • Vercel: For website hosting.
    • Cloudflare: For domain management.

These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and only use it for the purposes we specify.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or subpoena.
  • Protection of Rights: We may disclose your information if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ourselves, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Our Applications are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

Some of our service providers are located outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). When we transfer your data to these providers, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other legally recognized mechanisms.
